Maniacs are common enemies that spawn anywhere at night and in caves. They have a bean-like purple body with two yellow eyes. They also have two legs with shoes and two tiny arm that hold on to a big bomb that is on it's back. They make a raspy breath noise when thay walk around and a big deep breath when they see you. When they have seen you, they start running at you with their little legs. However they are still not enough fast to get you if you run. If they get to you they grab onto their bomb and throw it down, just in front of them. This causes the bomb to explode, killing the Maniac itself and possibly you. If the Maniac kills itself it will not drop anything.
Tactics[]
To kill a Maniac, it would be better to use something ranged rather than melee weapons, since they explode if you are near them. A recommened weapon against Maniacs is the longbow, since it shoot very far and has a lot of damage. However if you have some kind of a gun, use that instead.
A good defensive tactic against Maniacs is to build either high up, or then use some thick walls. Defensive robots and sentries can also be used.
Drops[]
Maniacs drops 1-3 gunpowder witch can be used in several explosives and other recipes. Maniacs also have about a 1/3 (30%) change of dropping a Maniac Bomb witch is an explosive by itself. It also drop 8-10 Hero Coins and 15 XP.
